Fiumicino Airport exceeded 3.6 million passengers in the first month of the winter season.
In November 2025, the capital’s airport system, consisting of Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Fiumicino and Giovan Battista Pastine Airport in Ciampino, recorded a total traffic of 3.9 million passengers, up 3% compared to the same period in 2024.
Rome Fiumicino contributed with approximately 3.6 million passengers, an increase of 2.6% compared to November 2024.
Despite the start of the winter aviation season, which is normally characterised by lower passenger flows, November traffic recorded high figures, thanks to significantly higher demand than in previous years, comparable to that observed in the “shoulder” months of the summer season.
Continental Europe remained the area with the highest traffic volumes, recording a 2.9% increase year-on-year. Overall growth was driven by intercontinental traffic, which rose by 6.5%, supported in particular by North America. In this market, November traffic grew by 21% compared to 2024, thanks to the phenomenon of flight deseasonalisation, thanks to connections to San Francisco, Dallas and Detroit, which were absent in the same period last year, as well as an increase in frequencies to New York.
Long-haul African routes also performed very well, achieving an 18% increase, driven by Ethiopian Airlines’ connections to Addis Ababa and the launch, in November, of ITA Airways flights to Mauritius, a new destination that enriches the intercontinental offering.
Short- and long-haul traffic to the Far East increased by 3% compared to November 2024, supported by increased frequencies on routes to Bangkok and Seoul.
Traffic to Central and South America grew by 1%, driven by an increase in flights to Buenos Aires compared to last year.
Giovan Battista Pastine Airport in Ciampino recorded 319,000 passengers in November.

The Northeast Airport Hub, which includes the airports of Venice, Treviso, Verona and Brescia, handled almost 17.8 million passengers in the first 11 months of 2025, with a positive trend of +3.6% over the same period in 2024. In November, over 1.2 million passengers were handled (+6.7% compared to November 2024).
Venice airport has exceeded 11 million passengers since the beginning of the year and recorded over 780,000 passengers in November, an increase of +1.7% year-on-year and +6.2% in the reference month.
The domestic market was the leading market in November (with a 20% share), followed by Spain, Great Britain, France and Germany.
London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Istanbul were the most popular destinations for passengers travelling from the airport.
Among the new developments for the 2024/25 winter season, Wizz Air will launch new connections to Bordeaux, Kutaisi, Larnaca, London Luton, Tallinn, Tel Aviv and Valencia. As for long-haul flights, United Airlines will fly between Venice and Newark until 18 December and Delta will operate to New York JFK throughout the year.
Treviso airport recorded almost 3 million passengers between January and November, an increase of +5.3% compared to 2024. In November, over 230,000 passengers passed through the airport (+2.4% compared to November 2024).
Spain remained the main market in November, followed by Albania, Romania and Belgium. The main destinations were Tirana (430,000 passengers since the beginning of the year), Bucharest, Brussels, Valencia and Prague.
Verona airport handled over 220,000 passengers in November and almost 3.8 million since the beginning of the year. The increase compared to 2024 was +13.2% for the month and +8.2% year-to-date.
After the domestic market, with 100,000 passengers in the month and 1.4 million in the first 11 months of the year, the main markets in November were Great Britain, Germany, Albania, Spain and Egypt. The most popular destinations for passengers were Catania, Palermo, London, Tirana and Bari.
There are numerous new flights starting in the winter season: Wizz Air has just inaugurated a new connection to Krakow, Volotea has resumed flights to Prague and added Seville to its network, Air France has maintained its winter service between Verona and Paris CDG, which in 2024 operated only in the summer, Jet2.com will introduce a weekly flight to Edinburgh from February 2026, and EasyJet will add Bristol and Manchester to the destinations available from Verona airport.
Neos, a Verona-based carrier, also offers a wide range of outgoing destinations in the winter season: the Red Sea, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Oman, Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania, the Maldives, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

In the first eleven months of 2025, a total of 10,718,571 passengers passed through Bari Brindisi and Foggia airports, (+7.18%) compared to 10,000,261 in the same period of 2024.
In November 2025, Bari airport recorded 536,262 passengers (+10.85%) compared to the same month of the previous year.
The domestic market recorded 268,658 passengers, while the international market recorded 264,500 passengers.
Brindisi Airport, on the other hand, recorded 190,795 passengers (-2.32%) in November 2025, down compared to 2024.
Domestic traffic recorded 167,742 passengers, down (-1.61%) compared to the same month in 2024.
International traffic recorded 21,921 passengers compared to 23,839 in November 2024, down (-8.05%).
A total of 4,565 passengers (-23.16%) passed through Foggia airport in November 2025, compared to 5,942 in the same month of 2024.
